Pulpdent is pleased to announce that Director of Professional Relations & International Business, Christie Bailey, has joined the Board of Directors at Large at the DTA Foundation.
WATERTOWN, MA – July 25, 2022 – The Dental Trade Alliance Foundation (DTAF) is a leading dental organization known for its mission to increase access and utilization of oral health care. DTAF works to broaden the understanding of how much oral health impacts our overall health. They do this through awarding grants for dental education and through their scholarship program to recognize and support dental students demonstrating academic excellence and commitment to community service.
“We’re honored that Christie has been invited to join the DTAF Board of Directors,” says Zachary Kulsrud, Pulpdent Director of Marketing. “Christie is a powerful advocate for advancing key social issues in dentistry and beyond. We know her deep knowledge and fresh perspective will give further momentum to the outstanding initiatives the foundation is now undertaking.”
Bailey’s first introduction to the DTA was almost nine years ago at their annual meeting in Palm Springs, California. She recalls a group of incredible people taking her under their wing and serving as mentors. She has since collaborated with the member resource teams and other women in the industry to extend the reach and accessibility of the DTA meeting.
“The DTA Foundation is excited to have Christie Bailey joining the DTA Foundation leadership team on our Board of Directors,” says Sarah Miller, the Executive Director at the foundation. “Her dedication and passion to oral health care is exactly what we need to help achieve our vision of a Healthy Smile for All. We are proud of the work this industry and its companies have accomplished in getting the right tools and resources to practices and clinics, and we are grateful of the support those same companies show towards quality access of oral health care for all. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of those companies and leaders like Christie Bailey.”
Bailey has several key roles at Pulpdent. The first is overseeing international business and collaborating with the export team. She has worked hard to strategize and help the world understand how Pulpdent is stepping into a new era that’s ever-evolving. Her second role is building relationships with key opinion leaders and influencers within the industry. She is known as the “relationship person,” and the role is heavily focused on helping people set the vision and identity of Pulpdent in the industry. Bailey has witnessed firsthand how much the dental industry has grown and developed and continually strives to bring in fresh ideas and perspectives.
“One of the most beautiful things about the DTAF that you won’t find on the website is their openness to fresh ideas,” says Bailey. “The DTAF is truly open to shifting what we’ve done in order to continuously make an impact in people’s lives through oral health care.”
Bailey serves on two committees at the DTAF, the FUNdraising and Scholarship Committees, where she gets to learn about the experiences and incredible initiative of young professionals within the industry. For the DTA, she serves on the Women and Business Committee and the Export Committee. Bailey also sits on the board of Dental Entrepreneur Women and previously served with the Open Aid Alliance.
