Dr. Alex Kurey has been successfully using ACTIVA BioACTIVE for the past year with patients of all ages. She stopped by the Pulpdent booth at the Yankee Dental Meeting to share her feedback!
While a bit skeptical at first as a traditional packable/ flowable composite user, Dr. Kurey now uses ACTIVA BioACTIVE “pretty much exclusively for all composite restorations.” Dr. Kurey, who practices north of Boston, added that she can “fill 3 or 4 teeth really fast, whereas packable would take a lot longer to pack it in there and to cure it.” Her patients are pleased with the esthetics and very happy with how quickly Dr. Kurey can complete a restoration with ACTIVA BioACTIVE.
About Dr. Alex Kurey
Dr. Alexandra Kurey began seeing patients at Herzog Dental in June 2015. She was raised just outside of Charlotte, NC, and attended University of North Carolina Wilmington. She received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. She is a member of the ADA, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the North Shore District Dental Society. Dr. Kurey aims to create a trusting relationship with every patient she sees in order for them to find some ease during their dental appointment. Acknowledging that many patients arrive with a high level of dental anxiety, she approaches patients from an empathic perspective – treating patients the way she’d want to be treated. Dr. Kurey is dedicated to her profession, volunteering her time with Kiwanis International, serving as a Team Smile volunteer at Yankee Dental Congress, and offering time at local non-profit events to teach the importance of dental health.
